CANTON, N.Y. — Learn what you can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change – connecting you with energy contractors, local farmers and other resources! The Green Living Fair 2019 will take place Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 10 AM – 4 PM. Follow the signs from Rt. 68 to the SUNY Canton Roos House Athletic Center, 34 Cornell Dr., Canton, New York 13617.
Huge savings are possible with a limited investment of time and money. Together we can cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the changing climate! Our vendors will show you how.
Visitors to the Fair will receive a map and checklist of actions with links to exhibitors and displays showing how they can save money by saving energy, wasting less, accessing renewable energy and buying local.
Our communities will benefit by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and must adapt to already obvious climate change, and the changes on the way. Let’s make a purse out of a sow’s ear and look for ways to support a more vibrant local economy offering job growth.
The Fair will also showcase what Canton and Potsdam Municipal governments, educational institutions and local businesses are already doing to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change.
The Green Living Fair is providing educational opportunities at all levels. Students from schools and universities are preparing posters and displays for the Fair. Contact us if you’d like to contribute!
