ARDMORE, Okla. — The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host a Summer Grazing Workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the Noble Foundation Red River Farm, located in Burneyville, Oklahoma.
During the workshop, pasture and range consultants will discuss and demonstrate how they are investigating cover crops. They will also discuss spring and summer forage management, and the transition from cool-season annuals to warm-season perennial production.
“Agricultural producers are increasingly interested in integrating cover crops into grazing systems to improve soil heath, extend the grazing season and diversify forage options,” said Hugh Aljoe, producer relations manager.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with researchers, consultants and fellow producers.
The registration fee is $20, and lunch will be provided. For more information, directions or to register, please visit www.noble.org/AgEvents or contact Danielle Pacifico at 580-224-6376 or Trisha DeLozier at 580-224-6377.
