LEXINGTON — The University of Kentucky is partnering with the Center for Profitable Agriculture at the University of Tennessee to provide a record-keeping training to area producers. They are offering 8 trainings around the state. See the attached flyer with the list of trainings: UK Flyer final This workshop is designed for existing or would-be operators of a value-added farm business. Using records developed for an example farm with value-added enterprises, presenters will teach how to export the example farm records into a spreadsheet and how to analyze and use them in making business management decisions. Participants will be provided a jump dive with records from the example farm and will learn to use spreadsheets, budgets and other tools to evaluate those records.
The first training is Oct. 24th at the Warren County Extension Office from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm local time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops loaded with Microsoft Excel. If producers do not have one, let Alex Butler know and he will make arrangements.

If you have any questions please contact Alex Butler at 859-218-4383 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
