TOPEKA, Kan. — The Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA) elected Glen Hofbauer, Vice President of Safety/Loss Control and Insurance Risk Management at The Scoular Company, Overland Park, as its new chairman on Tuesday, April 11, during the organization’s 121st annual meeting in Wichita. Hofbauer was elected by the 16-member board of directors to serve his two-year term as Board Chairman through April 2019.
Hofbauer is the 89th industry leader to serve at the helm of KGFA. He also serves on KGFA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Hofbauer previously served two-year terms as second and first vice chairman, respectively.
KGFA members also elected Jeremy Girard, President of Hannebaum Grain in Salina, as their new vice chairman. Bob Tempel, Chief Operating Officer of WindRiver Grain LLC in Garden City, was elected KGFA’s new second vice chairman.
KGFA, established in 1896, consists of more than 900 member companies that include country elevators, subterminal and terminal elevators, feed manufacturers, flour mills, grain merchandisers and allied industries such as grain exchanges, equipment manufacturers, insurance firms and railroads. KGFA is proud to represent 97% of the federally or state licensed grain storage in the state of Kansas.
