The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB), the marketing order representing California dairy producers, has announced the addition of Dayna Ghirardelli as Director of Producer Relations.
She most recently served as Producer Relations Manager at Clover Sonoma for 11 years, where she focused on all aspects of the relationship between producers and industry professionals, from supply management to freight logistics as well as overall industry communication.
Ghirardelli grew up on a dairy in Petaluma, Calif., where she gained firsthand knowledge of all aspects of the dairy business. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from California State University, Chico and began her career as a dairy program representative with the University of California Cooperative Extension serving Sonoma and Marin Counties.
“As a farmer-funded organization focused on building demand for products made with milk from California dairy farms, Dayna’s deep understanding of the dairy industry – from production through processing – is a tremendous asset to our team,” said John Talbot, CEO of the CMAB.
California is the nation’s leading milk producer. It also produces more butter, ice cream and nonfat dry milk than any other state. The state is the second-largest producer of cheese and yogurt. California milk and dairy foods can be identified by the Real California Milk seal, which certifies they are made exclusively with milk from the state’s dairy farm families.
