JUNEAU, Wis. — The dairy environment requires focus on core values, discipline in the fundamentals of business, and ownership of a dairy’s numbers. On Thurs., Oct. 17, Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) presents the next PDPW World Class Webinar – Economic Management, to assist dairy producers in continuing to move their business forward.
Dr. David Kohl, Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech, will be the featured speaker in the “Get a Grip on Ag Economics” webinar that will run from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. central time. Participants who register can watch the sessions live or will receive a fully recorded version to watch at their leisure.
Kohl will share the latest on the core factors that will influence the dairy industry and the business models of the future. In addition, he will also discuss five “tools for the times” to jump start your dairy for the next decade.
“Keeping your business moving forward during these unpredictable economic times does require attention and fine-tuning of your dairy’s financial numbers,” said Jay Heeg, dairy farmer from Colby, Wis., and President of Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW).
