Both corn and peanut producers were still applying fungicide. Early planted peanuts were blooming and showing strong stands. Most peanut and cotton fields were sprayed last week with post-emergence herbicide. Hay fields were helped by the rain as farmers are prepping their fields with fertilizer for the second cutting. Peach harvest had begun, but the crop is anticipated to be smaller than previous years due to the late frost. Farmers noted potential for increase disease pressure given wetter conditions.
