PRINCETON, Ky. — Farmer-leaders of the United Soybean Board (USB) elected Meagan Kaiser from Missouri as 2023 Chair and nine additional farmer-leaders, including Brent Gatton of Bremen, Ky., to serve on the Executive Committee during the USB December Meeting in St. Charles, Mo.
“Being on the executive committee is certainly an honor,” Gatton said. “I am also serving as chairman of the Audit and Evaluation Committee, which comes with additional responsibility. I will do my best to look after the best interests of soybean farmers from Kentucky and the rest of the U.S. during my time on USB. I am glad to have Barry Alexander and Ryan Bivens as my fellow USB Directors, and I encourage any soybean grower in Kentucky to reach out to one of us if they have questions about the national checkoff.”
The newly elected USB Executive Committee includes:
- Meagan Kaiser, Chair — Missouri
- Steve Reinhard, Vice Chair — Ohio
- Ed Lammers, Secretary — Nebraska
- Philip Good, Treasurer — Mississippi
- Matt Gast — North Dakota
- April Hemmes — Iowa
- Gary Berg — Illinois
