KINGSTON, N.Y. — Garlic, Alliums and Shallots! Oh My!
We will be taking online orders until September 22nd at 5pm. Curbside pick-up will be at the back door of our office at 232 Plaza Road, Kingston.
We are offering Certified Organic Music Garlic and Shallots, sold by the half pounds, and three different varieties of ornamental flowering garlic or alliums. Allium is Latin for garlic. The Flowering garlic are available in different colors and sizes, are rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant, and are seldom affected by disease. Adored by bees, butterflies and pollinators, alliums extend the spring flowering season with bold, dramatic color and statuesque garden architecture; they are also valuable as cut and dried flowers. Alliums require full sunlight, although there are several varieties that can also thrive in partial sunlight.
Purple Sensation allium is one of the most cost-effective Alliums; rabbit-, rodent- and deer-resistant Purple Sensation has 4″- to 5″-wide, violet-purple globes comprised of dozens of starry florets. Adored by bees, butterflies and pollinators, it has become a garden essential in borders, remarkable drifts, and cut flower arrangements. This will be 5 bulbs for $6.00.
Mount Everest is a tall white flower, and they are 2 for $9.00.
Schubertii is smaller, but is known as the firecracker allium due to the unique “exploding” look of the flower. These are 5 for $10.00
