WELLS, Maine — University of Maine Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will offer a workshop on Garlic Growing, 6 -7 pm, Thursday, September 21, at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm, 342 Laudholm Farm Road, Wells.
Fall is the season to plant this versatile vegetable for harvest next summer. UMaine Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Allan Amioka will review several types of garlic, and how to prepare, plant, care for and harvest the bulbs. Participants will have the opportunity to get their hands in the soil to plant at the All Seasons Garden. A $5 donation is requested at the event.
