LINCOLN — Turn your thoughts to this summer’s garden and tune into Lifestyle Gardening, a winter production of Backyard Farmer on Nebraska NET 1. The show starts its sixth season Saturday, January 19, at 10 a.m.
Hosted by Horticulture Associate Professor Kim Todd, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln broadcast will explore a range of topics from gardening tips for new homeowners to overwinter care for public plants, planning and selecting ornamentals for the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, fruit tree care, pesticide drift issues, and proper pruning techniques. The series of six programs will feature interviews with industry professionals and Nebraska Extension educators and specialists. It also will include a segment where gardening questions from the audience will be answered. Viewers are invited to submit questions for this segment by firstname.lastname@example.org.
The program will be broadcast Saturday mornings on NET and posted to the Backyard Farmer YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/backyardfarmer) the following Monday.
