CAMDEN, N.C.–Do you love cooking with Herbs? Would you love to cook with herbs year round? Well this is the class for you! The Currituck County Center of NC Cooperative Extension will be having a “Gardening and Cooking with Herbs” class on Monday, May 21st from 10am to 1pm. The class will be held at the Currituck County Extension Center located at 120 Community Way in Barco, NC. Registration and a class fee of $20 are required.
We will begin with a lesson in container and windowsill herb gardening. During this portion of the class, you will also learn what herbs pair well together and how to preserve herbs for later use. Participants will even get to plant a window herb garden to take home! Following that, the second half of the class is learning how to use your windowsill herbs to create delicious dishes filled with fresh flavor. Participants will create a full lunch from drinks to desserts using herbs in every dish. Space is limited so hurry and sign up today! This will be a fun and informative class you don’t want to miss.
