VOLUSIA CO., Fla. — What do oleander, foxglove and lily of the valley have in common? They’re Florida plants that can cause serious health issues, including low blood pressure and seizures, if swallowed.
Sue Valez, a master gardener with the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension, will discuss these and other toxic plants in the home and yard at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.
Her free presentation is part of the library’s Casual Gardening Series. Reservations are not required. For more information, call the library at 386-676-4191, option 4.
