TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey growers harvested asparagus from 1,600 acres in 2022, with a value of production of $10.6 million, the Nation’s fourth highest. New Jersey growers commanded the Nation’s highest price for their asparagus.
New Jersey growers harvested bell peppers from 3,400 acres in 2022, the Nation’s third highest. Their value of production, at $52.6 million, ranked fourth highest.
New Jersey ranked third nationally in spinach harvested acres at 1,900 acres, also the Nations third highest, with a value of $4.86 million. They harvested squash from 2,600 acres with a value of $16.4 million.
