COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The Otsego Master Gardener Volunteers will host a Garden Display and Variety Trials Open House at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 123 Lake Street, in Cooperstown, Thursday, July 25, 4 to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. This year’s design theme is “Re-Use, Recycle, Re-Imagine”, a contest in which anyone is welcome to enter a garden item created from recycled materials or come vote for your favorite. Refreshments will be provided.
Tour the garden and see new plant varieties that have been designated as All-America Selections (AAS). These varieties have been chosen for outstanding garden performance by professional horticulturists. Garden tours and advice will be offered about the challenges of gardening in this summer of cool, wet weather.
