SALINA, Kan. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is accepting applications for Edge-of-Field (EOF) Water Quality Monitoring for the Milford Reservoir Watershed in Kansas through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
The application cutoff for this funding opportunity is Friday, August 7, 2020.
Water quality monitoring and evaluation is a conservation practice in which a producer will measure the impact of certain conservation practices and systems related to surface and subsurface drainage.
“Edge-of-Field water monitoring is an important conservation practice,” said Karen A. Woodrich, Kansas NRCS State Conservationist. “Understanding what’s inside our water helps eliminate pollutants and improves water quality.”
