Try making these fun dairy snacks to try something new while using items that you may have on hand in your refrigerator and pantry.
Snack butterflies- A fun snack for home, on the go, or at school. Start by drawing a mouth and eyes on a clothespin to create the body of the butterfly. Take a snack size Ziploc bag and pinch the center with the clothes pin. On one side of the baggie, place cut-up pieces of string or hard cheese. On the other side, place some of your favorite crackers. Enjoy this creative snack!
Peanut butter chocolate milk- A rich flavorful variation on chocolate milk. Place 1 cup whole milk, 1 ripe banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/8 tsp vanilla extract, and 3 ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth and serve immediately.
Yogurt Parfait- A refreshing blend of yogurt, fruit and granola. In a drinking cup, place a layer of vanilla yogurt. Top this with a layer of your favorite fruits such as strawberries, peaches, raspberries or blueberries. The fruit can be fresh, frozen or canned. Continue alternating layers of yogurt and fruit until the glass is about 1/2 inch from the top. Top the parfait with granola and enjoy!
