COCKEYSVILLE, Md. — Learn all about winter care for your budding orchard! Join Future Harvest CASA and experienced orchardists at MacBride and Gill Falcon Ridge Farm, LLC for a hands-on pruning workshop. The Fruit Tree and Berry Pruning Workshop is March 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Falcon Ridge Farm, 3811 Backwoods Road, Westminster, Md.
MacBride and Gill Falcon Ridge Farm produces apples, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, Asian pears, persimmons and more using sustainable production methods.
Join farm owners and Future Harvest CASA members Stanton Gill, Kelly MacBride-Gill and Chelsey MacBride-Gill for an interactive pruning demonstration, discussion of fruit tree and berry health, integrated pest management methods for sustainable orcharding and tour of commercial and experimental fruit varieties. Attendees will assist in pruning fruit trees and berry plants. A potluck lunch will follow.
