TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. — Northeast Master Logger Certification is offering a FREE Logger Water Protection Workshop on June 2nd in Tupper Lake. These workshops are for Master Logger certified companies, but other loggers, foresters, landowners, and municipal officials are encouraged to attend pending space.
When and Where? June 1st. Classroom: Tupper Lake Fire Dept. Field site: Tupper Lake. The session runs from 7:45 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lunch is provided free of charge.
Who should attend? Employees, foremen and owners of Master Logger Certified companies and other interested loggers, foresters, landowners and officials.
What will be covered? This is an outside, interactive workshop that will cover protecting Water Resources through New York BMP’s, harvest planning, and oil/diesel spill best practices. Instructors will focus on stream crossings, harvesting near water, and oil spill practices. A skidder bridge will be raffled and other prizes will be awarded.
