NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension in collaboration with the Newburgh Armory Unity Center will be offering a free six-week gardening series entitled Seed to Supper – Gardening on a Budget. Participants will learn how to plan, plant and care for their garden as well as how to harvest and cook the vegetables that they grow. Classes start at the end of March and will be held Saturdays from 12:20 P.M. – 1:20 P.M. on March 28, April 4, 11 and 18, May 2 and 9. Upon completion of the course participants will receive seeds, plants and a few gardening tools!
This program will be held at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center located at 321 South William Street in Newburgh. Classes will be taught in English with Spanish translation available. Printed materials will be available in Spanish. Registration is required.
