MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. — University of Missouri Wright County Extension and the Missouri State University William H. Darr College of Agriculture will host a “Beef and Forage Seminar” starting at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Shetlers Event Center, 3099 MO-95, Mountain Grove.
Dinner is included as part of the event. Pre-paid registration is required with a fee of $15 per person. Registration includes dinner and reference materials.
Dr. Rick Funston, University of Nebraska, will be the guest speaker. He will discuss heifer development, fetal programming effects on postnatal calf performance, carcass characteristics and reproduction, and beef reproductive management programs.
Dr. Funston is a team member of the nationally recognized beef systems research initiative that provides leadership, subject matter and expertise for educational programs in cow-calf production management.
