COLOGNE, Germany — Global food buyers, sellers and retail trade professionals gathered at Anuga, the world’s leading food fair for those markets. Held in Cologne, Germany October 7-11, Anuga drew a record 165,000 visitors from 198 countries. Minnesota companies exhibited in several U.S. pavilions, taking full advantage of the show’s global presence and expanding business opportunities. The next Anuga will be October 5-9, 2019.
Germany is an important trading partner to the U.S. In 2016, top agricultural exports to Germany included soybeans, tree nuts, other intermediate products, and wine and beer. Germany is the third largest importer of U.S. agricultural products in Europe, behind the Netherlands and the U.K.
