GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. EST the UF/IFAS PIE Center will hold a webinar on the Florida peach industry.
Did you know that the Florida peach season begins this month? Did you even know that peaches grow in Florida? Many Floridians are uninformed about the Florida peach industry, however with marketing opportunities with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Fresh From Florida campaign, the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association, and the University of Florida, awareness about this delicious crop is increasing.
We invite you to join us for the March session of the Easy as PIE webinar on the Florida peach research and marketing campaign. Speakers Sonia Tighe from the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association and Tori Bradley, University of Florida graduate student, will provide findings from consumer surveys, give details on the Fresh From Florida peach marketing campaign, and relate it back to the local food industry in Florida. We hope you will be able to join us for this session!
