JEFFERSON CITY — Gov. Parson’s Flood Recovery Advisory Working Group held its inaugural meeting Aug. 27 at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Missouri Corn CEO Gary Marshall was appointed to serve on this working group. Also included are representatives from the relevant U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Districts, Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Soybean Association, Coalition to Protect the Missouri River, various businesses and coalitions connected to river management, and executive agency staff. The goal of the working group is to provide input for prioritizing state funding and improvements to be made to better protect the state’s infrastructure and citizens. The next meeting of the Flood Recovery Advisory Working Group will be held Sept. 20 in Jefferson City.
