ROBY, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Fisher County Cotton Workshop will be held April 9 at Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 107 N. College St., Roby.
The preregistration deadline is April 5, and the cost is $10. RSVP by email or phone to Nick.Dickson@ag.tamu.edu or 325-776-3259. Registration is at 8 a.m., and the workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity to hear the latest news and learn about farm bill changes that affect cotton,” said Nick Dickson, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Fisher County. “We’ll be discussing variety updates and also be doing an auxin training.”
There are two Texas Department of Agriculture laws and regulations continuing education units available. Auxin training will start at 11:30 a.m. and conclude after the lunch break. Lunch from Rough Creek BBQ will be served.
