SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. — Susquehanna County Dairy Princess Kyleigh Jones on behalf of her entire Court presented a check to Mary Ellen Spellman, who represented Weinberg Northeast Regional Food bank, for the “Fill a Glass with Hope” program. Over the course of the current promotional year Kyleigh and her Court set a goal of $500.00, but well exceeded it by raising funds for the cause. They ended up raising a grand total of $674.00.
The goal of Fill a Glass with Hope is to stock Pennsylvania’s food banks with fresh MILK for families who need it. The campaign started as a partnership between Feeding Pennsylvania, American Dairy Association Northeast and the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association. MILK has been reported to be the #1 most requested item in food banks today.
