EAST LANSING, Mich. — It seems this difficult corn-growing season is like a bad penny that continues to show up over and over again. Corn silages were planted in May, June and July so the variability in the crop maturity will continue to pose challenges through the crop harvest. Manni Singh, Michigan State University Extension cropping systems agronomy specialist, will discuss management guidelines surrounding uneven and immature corn silage during the next MSU Extension Virtual Breakfast at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the broadcast. A weekly weather outlook will also be part of the broadcast with MSU agriculture climatologist Jeff Andresen.
