AMES, Iowa — During this time of unparalleled market and economic uncertainty, feedlot cattle producers are faced with making immediate decisions with long-terms implications. Iowa Beef Center, Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and Iowa Beef Industry Council have developed a two-part webinar series, Feedlot Considerations Amid the Pandemic, to help provide some clarity, considerations and suggestions.
“Managing Feedlot Rations without Ethanol Coproducts” will be held Tuesday, April 28 at noon, and “Holding or Slowing Cattle for Uncertain Market Timing” will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Both are one hour in length and will be recorded and posted for later viewing.
The format will be a main speaker presentation followed by a moderated expert panel discussing basic questions related to the primary topic. There’s no cost to participate and all attendees will be able to share input, including a post-session questionnaire.
