JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — FCS Financial is recognizing 44 different 4-H clubs and FFA chapters with $500 grants for submitting outstanding Shaping Rural Missouri grant applications. In the eight years of its existence, more than $120,000 has been awarded to Missouri 4-H clubs and FFA chapters. Grants are awarded to organizations with plans to complete a community improvement project by the end of the year.

The following 4-H clubs and FFA chapters were selected by a panel of judges to receive a Shaping Rural Missouri grant in support of implementing the respective project listed:
Andrew County 4-H Council (Andrew County) – Build picnic tables for Andrew County Fairgrounds.
Tarkio FFA Chapter (Atchison County) – Build picnic tables for Tarkio Community Park.
Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter (Audrain County) – Landscape around agriculture building and greenhouse.
Audrain County 4-H Council (Audrain County) – Update bleachers at Audrain County Fairgrounds.
Mexico FFA Chapter (Audrain County) – Replace mulch at Audrain County Fairgrounds.
Barry County Screeching Eagles 4-H (Barry County) – Construct raised bed landscape at Wheaton City Park.
Barton County 4-H Teen Leaders (Barton County) – Construct outdoor classroom for Lamar East Primary School.
Rich Hill FFA Chapter (Bates County) – Improvements at Barton County Fairgrounds cattle barn.
Rock Bridge 4-H Club (Boone County) – Landscape Gentry Middle School.
Buchanan County 4-H Council (Buchanan County) – Construct 4-H butterfly berm and hummingbird haven.
Ready Workers 4-H Club (Buchanan County) – Plant native flowers and grasses around Remington Nature Center.
Polo Trailblazers 4-H Club (Caldwell County) – Build clothing donations boxes and place in local area.
Rising Sun 4-H Club (Callaway County) – Update and improve Central Church playground.
Carrollton ACC FFA Chapter & Chase 4-H Club (Carroll County) – Purchase livestock scales for county fairgrounds.
Brunswick FFA Chapter (Chariton County) – Construct a trap range for FFA and community members.
Salisbury FFA Chapter (Chariton County) – Assist with repairs to a community sign.
Smithville FFA Chapter (Clay County) – Plant a wildflower park in community area.
Denim & Dust 4-H Club (Dallas County) – Build picnic tables for the Dallas County Fairgrounds.
Blue Ribbon Bandits 4-H Club (Harrison County) – Improve ventilation at Gilman City Fairgrounds.
Chilhowee Indians 4-H Club (Johnson County) – Update and landscape the community park.
County Liners 4-H Club (Knox County) – Install rock wall for Edina Head Start.
Hitt 4-H Club (Lafayette County) – Improving Corder City Park.
Aurora FFA Chapter (Lawrence County) – Landscape Aurora High School grounds.
Mid River 4-H Club (Mercer County) – Improvements at Mercer County Fairgrounds.
Eager Beavers 4-H Club (Monroe County) – Landscape Monroe County Fair buildings at City Park.
Monroe City FFA Chapter (Monroe County) – Landscape Talitha’s Point.
Monroe County 4-H Council (Monroe County) – Install & build fencing at fairgrounds.
Burlington Junction Lucky Shamrocks & West Nodaway FFA Chapter (Nodaway County) – Construct a handicap ram for Children’s Park.
Lemons 4-H Club & Sunshine Kids 4-H Club (Putnam County) – Assist in purchasing & renovating tables for Putnam County 4-H Building.
Rocky Point 4-H Club (Ralls County) – Landscape and install flower beds at Lions Club.
Central 4-H Club, Hardin-Central FFA Chapter, Richmond FFA Chapter & Millville 4-H Club (Ray County) – Improve wash rack area at Ray County Fairgrounds.
Clever Clovers 4-H Club (Ray County) – Purchase and install poultry cages for Ray County Fairgrounds.
Milan FFA Chapter & Newtown Community 4-H Club (Sullivan County) – Purchase and install pens at Sullivan County Fairgrounds.
Clayton 4-H Club (Vernon County) – Update and renovate Clayton 4-H Clubhouse.
Vernon County 4-H Council (Vernon County) – Construct a relaxation station in the Home Ec Building at the Vernon County Fairgrounds.
Big Creek FFA Chapter (Warren County) – Build and repair risers in the Exhibit Hall at the Warren County Fairgrounds.
Warrenton FFA Chapter (Warren County) – Build picnic tables for use at Warren County Fair.
