RICHVALE, Calif. — Agriculture industry professionals, growers, enthusiasts, and students are invited to attend the Fava Bean and Nitrogen Fixation Trial Field Day on Friday March 22, 2019. The field day will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:45 a.m. at Lundberg Family Farms in Richvale.
In a partnership with Lundberg Family Farms and the California Department of Food and Agriculture, this educational symposium will feature presenters from California State University, Chico, United State Department of Agriculture, UC Cooperative Extension, and Nicholas Nut Company.
Speakers will discuss the benefits and selection of cover crops for diverse agricultural systems, as well as feature a field trial that aims to identify fava bean genotypes with enhanced nitrogen fixation.
