STANLEY, N.Y. — The 2022 Corn Maze at Pick’n Patch in Stanley, New York, honors the Wickham family’s 30th anniversary on the farm and their favorite football player Josh Allen with an eight-acre, two-mile-long maze with the shape of a quarterback about to pass and the number 17 carved among the greenery. Visitors are invited to donate to the Patricia Allen Fund that supports the pediatric Critical Care Team at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. Pick’n Patch is located at 2205 Routes 5 and 20 in Stanley.
“Our extended family members are huge football fans and Josh Allen is our favorite player. This year as we celebrate our 30th anniversary as a family farm and have doubled our ‘Fields of Fun,’ we wanted the corn maze to honor someone who shares our love of family, so Josh and the charity honoring his grandmother and helping so many families through Oishei Children’s Hospital is a perfect fit,” said Drew Wickham.
Wickham co-owns the farm with his wife Melanie and operates the farm with the support of their daughter Samantha; sons Ben, Tim, and Dan; and eight grandchildren. Find hours, admission, Moonlight Maze dates, and answers to frequently asked questions about visiting the farm at www.picknpatch.com.
The Patricia Allen Fund was established in 2020 when fans began making $17 donations to the Oishei Children’s Hospital the night Josh Allen played against Seattle after having just lost his grandmother Patricia Allen. Pick’n Patch activities earlier this year, including a spring doughnut sale and a September grandparent’s half-price admission day, benefited the nonprofit fund. Football fans from across the U.S. have donated to the Patricia Allen Fund.
Pick’n Patch has doubled its Fields of Fun outdoor activities for 2022, with everything from the corn maze to a low ropes course, ball pitch speed zone, bouncers, miniature train rides, trike course, firetruck fun house, Spookley storybook lane, animals and farm fresh foods perfect for the fall season. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last entry to the corn maze at 5 p.m., Wednesday-Monday; closed Tuesday. Weekend admission is $14.99; weekdays $12.99 for ages 3-79; ten percent discount for tickets ordered online at https://www.picknpatch.com. Admission is free those younger than 3 and older than 79.
