CHESTERFIELD, N.J. — The New Jersey State Agriculture Development Committee (SADC), the state agency that administers the New Jersey Farmland Preservation Program (FPP), will be hosting a workshop for Central Jersey municipal officials whose municipalities contain preserved farmland. The purpose of the workshop is to provide an overview of the FPP deed restrictions and permissible on-farm activities, discuss the SADC’s approval processes for post-preservation requests, and assess the impacts on required municipal approvals. This workshop will provide local officials the opportunity to ask questions and bolster the working relationship between the SADC and municipalities to better serve preserved farm owners and the general public.
