CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — Youth from across Wisconsin are invited to learn about cooperatives and leadership at Farmers Union Day Camps this summer. All youth are welcome to attend the free camps. Those enrolled in the Farmers Union Youth Program can fulfill one of their program requirements by attending an organized day camp in their area.
Day camps bring the fun and learning of the WFU camp program to your local community. Supported by county/local Farmers Union organizations, day camps are a great way to meet new friends, have fun while working together, and learn more about the importance of family farmers and strong communities.
This year a special focus of the day camps will be water quality and conservation of our water resources. Campers will have a chance to learn more about the impact of human activities on the health of local watersheds.
Day camps are open to the general public; pre-registrations are preferred via www.wisconsinfarmersunion.com/events. For more information, contact Kirsten Slaughter at 608-514-2031 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
