CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — In March, The Land Connection continues the Mastering the Farmers’ Market series in Champaign and Springfield with workshops designed to help farmers’ market vendors explore small business basics to improve their market finances.
Money Matters at the Farmers’ Market will cover small business budgeting strategies from local experts and give participants a chance to explore the ways that new technologies can help market vendors improve payment options for their customers, track sales more effectively, and run their booth more efficiently. The workshop will highlight Quickbooks and Square, providing farmers with an overview of how these tools can improve their farmers’ market operation.
This series of workshops is made possible by a grant from the USDA as part of their Farmers’ Market Promotion Program.
Registration costs $25, which includes materials and light refreshments. For more information and to register: http://thelandconnection.org/farmers/field-days-and-workshops/money-matters-farmers-market
