COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Farmer/Chef Mashup scheduled at Senate’s End 316 Senate Street, Columbia was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma. The farmers signed up to attend contacted us did not want to leave their animals to the wind and rain that Irma was going to supply to their farms. And so, we set a new date. October 9th, 2017. 2 – 6 pm. We have 23 farmers signed up and 90+ attendees. Please put the new date on your calendars and we look forward to seeing you October 9th.
Who: Central Midlands farmers, chefs, farm to institution & farm to school personnel, distributors, buyers, food writers, & local food leaders in the region. This event is not intended for the general public.
What: An opportunity for farmers to meet and greet potential buyers for their products – and an opportunity for chefs, distributors, and wholesale-level food buyers who want to include local food in their menus to meet local farmers who can supply that demand.
Farmers will have product lists and production calendars with them as well as information about how to purchase from them.
When: The afternoon of October 9th, 2017 from 2 – 6 pm
