CANFIELD, Ohio — Is technology and energy efficiency a focus of your farm management plan? If it is, or even if it isn’t, then we have the field day for you. Join us Aug. 9 to learn more about incorporating energy technology on your farm, and also delve into the cost and benefits it may produce.
Speakers Eric Romich and Clif Little, OSU Extension, will focus on topics such as solar and wind technology, along with current practices in energy efficiency. To demonstrate, Eric Romich will be using a portable solar unit. They will cover the financial side of things as well, and will show how technology can be beneficial to both small and large farms. Farm management plans will also be a topic of discussion.
This field day will be held Aug. 9 at the Ward Campbell Farm, located at 11440 Palmyra Road, North Jackson, Ohio. This event will run from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with lunch provided. Registration is $5 per person, which covers the cost of lunch and handouts. Register by calling the Mahoning County Extension Office at 330-533-5538.
