JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Family farming continues to become more financially complex. An upcoming class for farm women provides an avenue for those interested in having more knowledge of farm financial, retirement and succession issues.
Annie’s Project- Education for Farm Women helps farm women to be better business partners through networks and by managing and organizing critical information. This six-week course is a discussion-based workshop bringing women together to learn from experts in production, financial management, human resources, marketing and the legal field. There’s plenty of time for questions, sharing, reacting and connecting with presenters and fellow participants. It’s a relaxed, fun and dynamic way to learn, grow and meet other farm women.
Sessions will be Wednesday evenings, January 29 to March 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Morgan County Extension office, 104 North Westgate, Jacksonville. Registration cost is $55 per person. Those interested can register on line at http://go.illinois.edu/Annie by January 24.
