BRIDGETON, N.J. — Farm Credit East is pleased to recognize Scott Andersen, Farm Credit East vice president and branch manager of the Bridgeton, N.J. office, as the recent recipient of the Honorary American Future Farmers of America (FFA) Degree. He received this honor at the 2017 National FFA Convention & Expo held in Indianapolis last week.
The Honorary American FFA Degree recognizes those who have gone beyond valuable daily contributions to make an extraordinary long-term difference in the lives of students, inspiring confidence in a new generation of agriculturists. The award is given to someone who has advanced agricultural education and FFA through outstanding personal commitment.
Scott has been involved with his local New Jersey FFA chapter for his entire career. In addition, he established the Farm Credit Agricultural Leadership Fund (Joshua Geary Memorial Fund), just over 10 years ago. This charitable fund provides financial support for high school students and organizations in the agricultural community.
“Scott is a champion for future farmers, so we are pleased to see him recognized for his commitment,” said Mike Reynolds, Farm Credit East executive vice president. “Through his dedication to FFA he has made a difference in the lives of many aspiring ag leaders.”
