CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Both the Senate and the House voted to send the 2018 farm bill to the President’s desk this week, just in time for Christmas.
In large, bipartisan support the bill will continue vital programs that are key in keeping farm and ranch families afloat.
“The farm bill ensures a safety net for producers, maintains and expands environmental stewardship programs, and provides needed support to disadvantaged families,” said Don Shawcroft, president of the Colorado Farm Bureau. “It also removes future uncertainty for an industry struggling amongst low commodity prices.”
