FARGO, N.D. — It’s not too late to register for the Farm and Ranch conference in Fargo, N.D. The conference is held by North Dakota Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee and will take place January 20-22, 2017 at the Holiday Inn.
Part of the conference will include celebrating 65 years of the NDFB Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee. There will be a reunion reception for past members of the committee on Friday night.
“We are truly excited for this 65th reunion for the YF&R group,” said NDFB Director of Leadership Development Joey Myers. “It will be fun hearing stories from past members and seeing old friends reunite.”
The conference is open to all ages and provides an opportunity to network, learn and have some fun.
Friday night will feature speaker Mark J. Lindquist who has appeared on ABC’s Lost, HawaiiFive-O, and the Universal Studios movie Battleship. He has performed for Grammy winning artists, Academy Award nominated actors, foreign dignitaries around the world as well as staffers at the White House. Mark is a former Sergeant in the United States Air Force and an Afghanistan War Veteran who currently lives in Fargo, North Dakota.
Saturday will offer a variety of breakout sessions, including: updates on the Veterinary Feed Directive, succession planning, a technology and ag panel, self-defense course, wine tasting, and creative painting. The night will end with a banquet followed by a casino game night with prizes.
“The YF&R Committee plans all year for this conference and it’s guaranteed to be a great time,” said Myers. “It’s not your typical conference. We really mix it up by offering a variety of workshops, entertainment and a chance for people to network.”
Free daycare is provided for those who would like to bring their children and make this a family weekend.
