SCHOHARIE CO., N.Y. — Family Farm Day (FFD) returns on Saturday, August 27th, 10am-4pm for its 10th anniversary. The event began in Schoharie County in 2013 and has evolved into a highly anticipated annual celebration of local agriculture. Dozens of farms throughout Schoharie, Otsego and Delaware Counties open their doors to the public for a day of family fun on the farm.
Look behind the scenes to see how your food is produced! Take a tour, go for a hayride, watch a demonstration, or participate in free, hands-on activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy farm-fresh samples, taste local foods and beverages, shop for gifts and décor, and experience the diversity of our participating farms while supporting small businesses.
Pre-plan your tour online at FamilyFarmDay.org using our interactive map or pick up a copy of the 2022 Farm Guide at your local Cornell Cooperative Extension office, farmers’ market, or brochure rack. After your journey, enjoy local restaurants, distilleries, wineries, breweries, and stores that source from local farms. To never miss an update, like and follow Family Farm Day on Facebook and Instagram.
Win a grand prize basket! Complete the short survey at a participating farm or online and be entered to win a gift basket ($50 value). Collect stamps at each stop to earn a FFD t-shirt, hat, insulated shopping tote, or cookbook while supplies last!
For everyone’s safety, please adhere to Family Farm Day etiquette: No pets are allowed on participating farms, and all visitors must remain in designated areas while on farm property. Family Farm Day is produced by CCE Schoharie and Otsego Counties and CCE Delaware County and is made possible by our participating sponsors and farms. Please acknowledge their role(s) by supporting their businesses.
