GALENA, Mo. — The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will host the 14th Annual “Fall Gardening Workshop” designed for homeowners seeking tips on garden management.
The workshop will start with registration and vendor booths at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 71 Kimberling Blvd, Kimberling City.
“This program will feature presenters who will be discussing the topics of autumn gardening, eating smart from the garden, native trees and shrubs and hostas and other companion plants for shade,” said Tim Schnakenberg, agronomy specialist, University of Missouri Extension. “The Master Gardeners enlisted speakers this year who have a lot of experience in these topics so it will be an outstanding workshop.”
Space is limited, and advance registration is required. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for pre-registered participants. Vendors will be available.
For more information on the cost and to pre-register, contact the Stone County Extension Center at (417) 357-6812 by Sept. 25.
More information regarding the speakers and online registration is available on the Master Gardeners of the Ozarks website at http://mgozarks.com/.
