SEARSMONT, Maine — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Waldo County Extension Association invite the public to tour the farm on Tuesday, September 18 at Faithful Venture Farm in Searsmont from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Come learn more about organic dairy farms and the many programs the University of Maine Cooperative Extension offers.
Faithful Venture Farm is home to Jodie Martin and Glendon Mehuren who operate an organic dairy farm shipping milk to Horizon Organic. Along with operating the farm, the family is involved in 4-H and other community activities. The meeting will include a farm tour and some delicious snacks and refreshments, along with a brief business meeting for the Extension Association, where new members and officers will be elected and the 2019 county budget request will be discussed.
The meeting is open to the public. Faithful Venture Farm is located at 17 Borough Rd in Searsmont.
The Waldo County Extension Association is looking for new members to join their volunteer board. If you want to learn more about what the board does and how you can get involved, please plan to attend!
