ORISKANY, N.Y. — The community of Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County believes in supporting our local Agricultural Industry in sustainability, equity, and inclusion in our educational mission. But also through connecting the community to the farmers and growers who grow, process, and provide safe, affordable food for our communities.
To do this, we are creating the ‘Faces of Agriculture Are Many’ Inside Out Action project initiative focusing on the faces of farmers, growers, and the future of Agriculture in Oneida County, be it refugees, immigrants, or the BIPOC community.
The ‘Faces of Agriculture’ will be able to be previewed at the Boonville Oneida County Fair July 26th-31st, with a full reveal in the fall. We hope through this project that community members, policymakers, and businesses will take note of the importance of Agriculture and that they participate in supporting their sustainability.
For more information and to track the project’s progress, check out the ‘Faces of Agriculture’ website.
