TAYLORVILLE, Ill. — Annie’s Project is a six-part course offered by University of Illinois Extension in partnership with Annie’s Project. The program looks to empower women in agriculture and offer farm enterprise education by holding discussion-based workshops that bring women together to learn from experts in production, financial management, human resources, marketing, and the legal field.

Annie’s Project will be held at the Christian County Extension Office in Taylorville, IL from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm on February 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 & 17.

The six-session course will cover: personality assessment, working with government agencies (FSA and NRCS), business planning for farms, basic financial documents for farms, crop insurance basics, marketing basics for selling crops and livestock, leasing farmland, estate planning (wills and trusts).

The program offers plenty of time for questions, sharing, reacting, and connecting with your presenters and fellow participants. It is a relaxed, fun and dynamic way to learn, grow, and meet other farm and ranch women. Registration is $50 and covers the course materials. Space is limited so those interested in attending are encouraged to register soon.
