Wisconsin Farmers Union 88th Annual State Convention

January 25, 2019 - January 27, 2019
Location:
Appleton, WI
+ Google Map

On Jan. 25-27, 2019, farmers from a variety of different backgrounds and types of farms will meet in Appleton for our 88th State Convention. We’ll have the chance to visit with friends and network with farmers and rural advocates from throughout the state. We hope you’ll join us!

We’re going to kick things off on Friday with Groundswell, which this year will focus on how we can organize to reclaim power and protect what matters most to all of us: clean air and water, safe food, renewable energy, a viable economy, and the right to thrive. We’re also looking forward to Saturday’s convention keynote Eric Holt-Giménez, executive director of Food First. Our workshop line-up will hit on key issues like how our farms can be resilient in these trying times, what role cooperatives can play, how we can be proactive in the fight against climate change, and how we can help our rural neighbors who are facing mental health struggles.

During Saturday evening’s banquet, we’ll also honor long-time members and partners for efforts they’ve made to support Wisconsin’s family farmers. And, of course, we’ll get to the task of setting the policies that we’ll take to our state and federal lawmakers and to the National Farmers Union Convention March 3-6 in Bellevue, Washington.

We hope to see you in Appleton Jan. 25-27, 2019!
