Water Webinar Series: Iron, Manganese, and Hydrogen Sulfide in Wells
Event Navigation
The Water Webinar Series: Iron, Manganese, and Hydrogen Sulfide in Wells live webinar will explore the occurrence of iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide water quality problems across Pennsylvania and how they can be tested and treated in private water supplies.
Iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide represent three of the most common water quality complaints among private water well and spring owners in Pennsylvania. These pollutants are often naturally occurring but can also originate from land use activities – most notably mining. While they are generally not harmful, they can cause severe staining, sediment, tastes, and odors to drinking water. We will cover how to manage these water quality issues.
