Indiana-Illinois Farm and Outdoor Power Equipment Show
Event Navigation
Very often, it is a company with a new product or a new technology. And that seems to be the case for this year’s 39th annual Indiana-Illinois Farm and Outdoor Power Equipment Show, scheduled Dec. 12-14 at the West Pavilion of the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
“We appear to have a very good and very interesting show this year, and the highlight will definitely be the appearance of the Tribine Harvester, which will be making it’s first major showing in Indianapolis,” said show manager Richard Sherman, who has been with the event throughout its entire history.
“It is very possible that the future of harvesting is now, and area farmers will get a chance to judge the truth of that for themselves at the show. To my knowledge, this will only be the second appearance of the full machine at any show, Farm Progress and now Indianapolis.”
The farm show, of course, will feature large displays from John Deere, Case IH and Caterpillar, along with displays from more than 200 other agriculture companies.
There will be a free daily seminar series presented by the Hoosier Ag Today radio network, hosted by Gary Truitt and featuring the 2018 market outlook by Purdue University’s Chris Hurt at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday. Admission is free, but there is a $5-per-car fee at the fairgrounds, money that goes to maintaining and improving the fair buildings.
