Cost (Lunch, refreshments, and materials are included):
- Veterans can attend this workshop free of charge. Pre-registration is still required.
- $40 for the first person attending, $20 for each additional person for residents of the CAAHP team area (Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Washington Counties).
- $60 for the first person attending, $20 for each additional person for residents outside the CAAHP team area (Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Washington Counties)
Soil health is the foundation of all agricultural operations. This training will begin with presentations on the chemical, physical, and biological aspects of soil health. It will include understanding soil health tests, and how to build soil health with cover crops and cropping systems. Soil health principles will be illustrated with table-top demonstrations. Then we’ll go into the field for demonstrations to gain a better understanding of soil health.
