Are you a veteran who is interested in or has started livestock farming? Consider joining the Cornell Cooperative Extension Capital Area Agriculture and Horticulture Program for a Farm Ops veteran project event!
In this workshop we’ll explore what you need to get started in livestock production. This class is geared towards beginners to livestock, who are deciding what species they would like to include on the farm and what they would need to raise that animal.
Do you already have land and infrastructure or are you in the exploration phase?
Which animal would best fit your lifestyle and help you reach your farm goals?
This class includes a free copy of the book The New Livestock Farmer, by Rebecca Thistlewaite, a great resource on a broad spectrum of livestock species and their care and production.
This program is free for veterans! If you are not a veteran, you can still join us!
